The Empire State Building

New York's famous Empire State Building, a New York City Landmark and a National Historic Landmark, soars more than a quarter of a mile into the atmosphere above the heart of Manhattan.
Located on the 86th floor, 1,050 feet (320 meters) above the city's bustling streets, the Observatory offers panoramic views from within a glass enclosed pavilion and from the surrounding open-air promenade.
Since the Observatory opened to the public in 1931, almost 110 million visitors have thrilled to the awe-inspiring vision of the city beneath them.

The Emporis Skyscraper Award is the world's most renowned prize for high-rise architecture. It is awarded annually to new buildings at least 100 meters in height that show outstanding architectural design and functionality.

totally sky scraper The ‘Antilia’ Residence designed by Perkins + Will Located on Altamount Road in South Mumbai, India, the 400,000 sq ft residence rests on a plot of only 4,532 sq ft. At around 60 storeys in height, the ‘Antilia‘ (allegedly named after a mythical island in the Atlantic) only boasts 27 storeys of livable space, the rest retained for attractions and parking for over 160 vehicles.

The Sears tower was the tallest building in the world until 1997. But it was still the tallest building in the Western hemisphere since its completion in 1973. However, New York will once again take the title when it completes the new World Trade Center in 2013. But nobody can take away our title of having the first skyscraper climber.
